 was one of the 2005 Grant Recipients and we thought we would touch base with them to see how the New Year started. According to Pam, the shelter mom, it started off with a bang. In the 31 days that make up the month of January, they had 25 rabbits come in. What an exciting and busy year 2006 has started out being here at Ferret Wise! In the past few months 6 of our elder ferrets (Lucky, Pancho, Onyx, Dargo, Jerimiah, Sandro) have had needed surgeries, one tiny new face (Merlin) has joined our shelter group (and is doing marvelously well both health and behavior wise).....read the whole article |

We are proud to announce the 2006 Ferret Depot/Rabbit Stop Grant Program. This year we will be increasing our total Grant Program by 10% to $5,500.00.
There have been changes to the Application and to the Application Packet Instructions so please read it carefully. To proceed to the grant application please use the link at the bottom of the page. Our Grant Program was able to assist 11 organizations in 2005. We have early updates and photos from two of these shelters and we are so honored to be a part of their organizations. Please read the articles on their accomplishments. We look forward to checking in with other recipients throughout the year and sharing their stories with you also.
